Tractor Mid-Mount Grader with 8-Way Blade Control for NZ Road Maintenance

The GradeMaster is a tractor mid-mounted grader with a difference.  Its innovative 8-way blade features side shift, left or right angle adjustment, and individual left and right height adjustment.  It can also crowd forwards or backwards, giving the user precise height adjustment to easily achieve a professional finish every time.

It was primarily designed to meet the needs of the road maintenance industry which wanted a simple-to-use machine that inexperienced operators could hop on and use to get great results without intensive training. We incorporated all their feedback and needs into the GradeMaster’s straight-up functionality, delivering a machine that’s reliable and efficient.

While the GradeMaster was designed for roading contractors, its ease-of-use has made it an attractive option for orchard and vineyard track maintenance crews, farmers needing to maintain their tracks, and subdivision developers needing a simple grader for their new roads.  It has also found favour on building sites where a professional finish is required, or where the compact design means it can work in a confined space.

We’ve also made sure the GradeMaster is easy to transport.  It can be loaded onto a truck or can be driven at a reasonable speed to where it’s needed.  When you’re looking for a hard-working and hassle-free grader that anyone can use, the GradeMaster is the perfect choice.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between a tractor grader and a motor grader?

A motor grader is a large self-propelled machine built for major roading contracts - expensive to own and operate, and overkill for most maintenance work. The GradeMaster was designed because the road maintenance industry asked for a simpler, more cost-effective machine that inexperienced operators could use to get a professional finish without intensive training. The GradeMaster is a complete, integrated tractor grader machine - a John Deere 50HP tractor with the grader permanently built in as one unit, not a separate attachment. It is far more cost-effective than a motor grader for road maintenance, farm tracks, orchard tracks and subdivision roading.

Is the GradeMaster a standalone machine or does it require a separate tractor?

The GradeMaster is a complete, integrated machine - it is a John Deere 50HP tractor with the grader permanently built in as one unit. It is not an attachment that you buy separately and fit to your own tractor. You purchase the GradeMaster as a complete tractor grader machine, ready to work straight away.

What does the 8-way blade on the GradeMaster do?

The GradeMaster's 8-way blade can shift left or right (side shift), angle left or right, raise or lower the left side independently, raise or lower the right side independently, and crowd forwards or backwards. All via individual levers, a lever per control, whether it be side shift, angle, or any other adjustment. This lets any operator—even inexperienced—make precise adjustments and achieve a professional finish.

What types of jobs is the GradeMaster suited to?

Road and driveway grading, farm track maintenance, orchard and vineyard track maintenance, subdivision roading, and building site grading in confined spaces. Its compact dimensions (4.3 x 1.9 x 2.65m) allow it to work where larger graders cannot fit, and it can be loaded onto a truck or driven under its own power to the worksite.
