6000L Skid Tank Water Cart for Large NZ Job Sites

The AquaMaster 6000 is exceptional. We know that’s quite the claim but the machine backs it up every single time. It’s as easy to use as its little brother – the AquaMaster 4000, but the extra water capacity makes it better suited to bigger job sites where more water is needed without interruption.

Designed to be tied down on the back of a flat deck truck or tipper truck, it can be quickly transported to wherever it’s needed.  And unlike some models out there, the AquaMaster 6000 is robust and dependable, so you don’t need to worry about moving from different vehicle to vehicle because of the worry of damaging it or something going wrong.

The water cart features integrated forklift slots, making it easy to lift and position it. Whether you’re loading it onto a flat deck truck or a tipper truck, you can lift it without the need for slings, strops, or complicated rigging.

Also, the water cart features camlock fittings for quick and easy refills, so the hard work can continue without interruption.

It comes equipped with a 25m hose reel that’s easy to unreel, and long enough to reach those tricky areas, where the adjustable nozzle can go to work and spray water where needed.  There are even integrated dust suppression nozzles – great for the easy application of water on road maintenance patches or for preparing small yards for sealing.

Finally, there’s even the option of a water on/off remote control feature, allowing the water flow to be controlled for dust suppression without the operator needing to step outside the cab of their vehicle.

Frequently asked questions

How much does the AquaMaster 2000 water cart cost?

Master Machinery prices its machinery in the mid-to-premium range, comparable to other models on the market. The AquaMaster 2000 has a few configuration variants, the entry variant starts from around $32,000. For an accurate quote tailored to your configuration, contact our team (link to contact page). See also our Insights article ‘How Much Does a Water Trailer Cost in New Zealand?’ for a full breakdown.

What vehicle do I need to tow the AquaMaster 2000?

Any ute or small commercial vehicle (e.g. Toyota Hilux, Ford Ranger) with a minimum towing capacity of 2,500 kg. The AquaMaster 2000 comes with dual hitch coupling - both 1-7/8 inch and 50mm tow balls - so no adaptor is needed for standard NZ work vehicles.

Is it better to hire or buy a water cart in NZ?

For regular use across multiple jobs, owning an AquaMaster 2000 typically gives a faster return than ongoing hire costs. For occasional or one-off use, hire may make more sense. See our article 'Hire or Buy a Water Cart in NZ? on our Insights page, or contact our team to compare numbers for your workload.

What is the AquaMaster 2000 used for?

Drain and culvert cleaning, dust suppression on road maintenance and construction sites, surface cleaning (graffiti, lichen, moss), paint prep and bridge maintenance, machinery washing, tree watering, soil compaction water, pipe testing, concrete work in remote locations, core drilling cooling, and firefighting support, and more. It runs two independent pumps: a 3,500 PSI water blaster and a 120 L/min high-flow flood jet.

What is the difference between a skid tank and a water trailer?

A skid tank (AquaMaster 4000 and 6000) sits on a flat frame secured to a truck deck - it has no wheels and cannot be towed independently. A trailer water cart (AquaMaster 2000) has its own axle and can be towed by any suitable ute. Skid tanks suit contractors running flat deck or tipper trucks who need higher volume. Trailer carts suit teams who need to move the cart between different vehicles independently.
