We couldn’t do our job without it

James Waerea | Tupore Infrastructure

Based in the Hawke’s Bay, Tupore Infrastructure is a local company, busy working in civil infrastructure and construction. Their name means ‘to care for’ and that’s precisely what they show on their worksites.  Helping them master that task is the AquaMaster 6000.

James Waerea is the Operations Manager at Tupore and it’s his job to make sure everything runs smoothly. “We’re involved in civil construction and maintenance work, including roading, earthworks, and general site development” explains James. “We’re focused on delivering quality, efficient work across a range of projects.”

For James, what was lacking was a proper solution for dust suppression, which is a non-negotiable on their work-sites for obvious health and safety reasons. “Dust control and moisture management are key parts of civil work. Keeping dust down is critical for visibility, safety, and environmental compliance. Without a reliable water setup, it’s hard to maintain safe conditions and achieve quality compaction results.

This is where the AquaMaster 6000 makes easy work of hard work. It’s designed for construction sites where plenty of water flow is needed and where the machine has to be nimble enough to maneuver around the obstacles to reach areas where the dust can whip up easily and cause compliance problems unless dealt with. Which is exactly what the AquaMaster 6000 does. It still has to be easy to use though. There’s no point in a solution that adds complexity and difficulty, so we made the AquaMaster 6000 simple to operate and integrate into the way you work. It’s an approach James appreciates;

“It’s very straightforward to use. The controls are simple and well laid out. Starting the pump and setting up the spray system is quick, and the in-cab remote makes it easy to control water flow. The spray coverage is wide and consistent, and the flow rate is ideal for both dust suppression and compaction.”

Keeping the water flowing is the trusted Honda GX200 Water Pump Engine. It’s well-regarded for its reliability and features an electric start and twin impeller. There’s camlock fittings for quick on-the-go refills and water can be sprayed from either the flood jet nozzle at 120L per minute or the 25m wash down hose, which discharges at 60L per minute.

Another benefit of the AquaMaster 6000 is its adaptability. It’s built on a skid-frame and there’s forklift slots for lifting and repositioning, so it can be easily moved onto different trucks and to different locations.  “Because our trucks are often used for multiple purposes, having a skid-mounted unit means we can load and unload as needed”, says James. “It saves a lot of time and gives us the flexibility to use the same truck for other work when the water cart isn’t needed. It’s a big advantage, means less downtime and makes better use of our equipment.”

So has James found the reliable water set-up he was searching for? We think so. More importantly, so does James:

“It’s been a great unit. Low maintenance, easy to transport and easy to use, it’s reliable and well designed. The build quality and performance have been solid and it’s proven to be a versatile bit of gear that does exactly what we need it to.”

Which is exactly what we wanted. If it sounds like you might want it too, email Jeremy@mastermachinery.co.nz today.
