Effortless Excavation: The HydroMaster 2000 Advantage

Overview

The HydroMaster 2000 uses a different approach to excavation, with a full vacuum system capable of handling almost any environment.  No mess, no trouble.

The HydroMaster 2000 uses Hydro Excavation, which is the process of excavating or digging by blasting the area to be excavated with high pressure water that is then sucked into a collecting tank.  It works by using highly pressurised water to loosen the particles in soil or dirt so that they can be vacuum sucked out of the way – creating a hole.  It’s very precise and has a very low impact on the valuable surrounding infrastructure.

In situations where you need to dig a narrow hole, such as for a foundation pile, fence post or to reach a leaking pipe – you can dig a hole that’s only as big as you need.  Also, because this method is low impact, water can be used to excavate around utilities without causing damage, making it especially useful on properties where pipe and cable locations are not mapped.

For this reason, the HydroMaster 2000 is also perfect for non-destructive digging solutions, like jobs requiring pot-holing, trenching or daylighting.

Low Risk, Maximum Use

Hydro Evacuation is well known for its speed while minimising the risk of damage when compared to traditional methods.  Only a minimum quantity of dirt is removed, reducing damage to the surrounding area, making it particularly useful in environments where the soil is unstable and there is a risk of collapse.

This makes the HydroMaster 2000 the ideal machine in any environment where there’s a degree of uncertainty and the unknown.  Equally so, it’s ideal for use in more confined areas, like under and around buildings.

The use of the machine isn’t just for risky or restricted access sites either.  We’ve seen them used for all sorts of jobs. For example, In 2023 after Cyclone Gabrielle hit they were used in clean-up operations.  The built-in water blaster has its own tank, making it possible to wash down and suck dirt out of flood damaged buildings, entranceways and more.

Easy Use by One Person

One of the many benefits of the HydroMaster 2000 is that it can be operated by one person on their own – making it perfect for services like plumbing or telecoms where you may not have a whole team on hand to assist with a job.  They won’t need much in the way of training either.

The HydroMaster 2000 is easy to operate, giving you the ability to perform hydro excavation tasks with one person.

The HydroMaster 2000 is designed to be easy to operate, making it possible to get great results even if you haven’t used it before. There are a few specific training requirements and after a short time, most operators can use the machine safely and proficiently.  There’s a sight glass on the spoils tank and shut-off valves to prevent damage from overfilling.

Maximum Uptime

The HydroMaster has one last trick up its waterpipe.  It’s not reliant on any particular type of truck, any Class 2 4-wheeler with a minimum of a 8T payload works – so there’s no issue if the truck fails, you simply move the machine onto one that’s working.  It makes it much easier to plan for vehicle repairs, services, WOFs and other fleet management issues, all without unnecessarily delays to the job at hand.

Combining the advantages of hydro excavation with a machine that has no real learning curve, and  can be easily transferred to a different host vehicle – makes the HydroMaster 2000 perfect for sucking up soils or spoils, as revenue grows because you can do more, quicker.
